A Very Special Day!

This last Friday morning, my Grandma Flo went through the Temple for the first time. It was so special. I am so grateful for the opportunity that I had to sit next to her inside the temple. It is a moment that I will never forget and will cherish in my heart forever. I am so very grateful to live in a time when Temples dot the earth and to have them so near to me so that I may go often. It is such a sacred and special place. The blessings of the temple are so profound. And after years of wanting for my grandma to have the blessings of the gospel of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in her life, being there inside the temple with her as she took that next step toward her Eternal Progression was one of the most special times that I have shared with her. Congratulations Grandma!

I also have to say thank you to my mother in law who watched Brenna for me while we were at the Temple. She watched her for over 5hours!!! I had never been away from Brenna for that long, and that was the only dark spot in the experience. In fact I kept finding my pedal to the medal and would have to remind myself to take it easy as I was so anxious to get back to my sweet girl. It really helped knowing that she was well taken care of by someone who loved her.

What a blessed day!

On a sour note though, my sister Angela got hurt in her Friday afternoon cheer practice as she was coming down out of a stunt. She hyper-extended her left knee. The worst part of it is, she has state competitions this coming Saturday. She is doing all that she can to take care of her injury so that she can still compete. She is their only flyer and stunt girl and they would be lost without her! Chris gave her a blessing, and she by far, has the most strong willed determination of anyone that I know! She is determined to be able to compete to her best ability by Saturday, and if anyone can do it, its Angela! You go girl!!! We are praying for you!

Hey Thanks for your comments! And Kristal I am sticking my tongue out at you, haha!

Tiff, I just wanted to tell you how grateful I am for your parents and their stalwartness (is that a word???). I owe them so much. They have played such a key role in my families conversion, especially my mom's and that has had unfathomable blessings in our lives. It was so wonderful to have them at the Temple that day. They made the day that much more special! Thanks for sharing them!

Our family has gained unmentionable blessings from my parents service. I am glad we get to share them with everyone for the next three years. I do miss them though. You have an amazing family, especially your mom. I just love that lady!!
