Brenna Turned 2 Flashback...

Yes I know it is about time I posted this! I am still in shock that my baby girl is two!!! It still seems like yesterday that I was pregnant with her, and bringing her home for the first time, and watching advance into all of her fun new phases of development! She is such an amazing girl and I feel truly blessed to be her mother! (Side note: This, by the way, is her absolute favorite shirt. She will choose it over any other.)

Her birthday, now nearly two months ago, was a perfect day! The weather was wonderful. We spent the entire day doing some of her favorite things. Most of the day was spent outside while Chris was at work. We played on the swing set, raced around the back yard, jumped on the trampoline, and played at the park. Once Chris got home we went to Organ Stop for dinner! Brenna loved that! She bawled when we had to leave. They even played happy birthday for her! It was a ton of fun.
She loves to slide! She runs up the stairs, slides down, and then runs right back up the stairs until her legs literally give out on her. All the while she is giggling airily.

Mom and Brenna at Organ Stop Pizza. She thought that was the coolest place in the world! She loves music!
Once we got home, we had birthday cake and ice cream. Her favorite part was the "sparkles!" as she calls them. Then she opened her presents. She knew just what to do. Christmas was great practice for her. In fact, we could hardly get her to be patient enough to wait until we got the camera ready! She was so cute!

Concentrating very hard on her sparkles. Chris had put her tricycle together the night before and had it out in the garage with a bow on it. This is Brenna covering her eyes while Daddy brought it in. It looks like it took a great deal of effort!

Unwrapping her puzzles. She loves puzzles! She loved opening her presents!

We are so proud of our two year old little princess. She is such a joy to be around, and is always onto new and brighter things. She is busy, silly, sweet, serious, affectionate, tender, thoughtful, smart, genius really, amazing, fun-loving, book loving, and best of all she is ours forever! We love you baby girl. Keep growing sweet and wonderful. We could not ask for more!

What a pretty little girl. I think she looks like her mommy. She seems like a sweet little girl. I love your story about how she goes down the slide. It's funny how you can learn something about your kids personality just by watching them play at the park. My son hardly ever goes down the slides he just likes to climb he'll climb anything and everything at the park, climb up and down but he doesn't go down the slides much.
Anyway, it is so sweet how proud you are of her- it looks like you have good reason to be proud of that little angel.
Oh and your sister- oh my gosh she grew up! I could only picture her as a little girl, and I was wondering what she looked like now. She's beautiful! I hope she heals quickly.
