Brenna's Birthday Weekend Extravaganza!

My baby turned THREE! I can't believe it! Where has the time gone! It still feels to me as if we just had her.... Yet she has filled our lives so completely that I can't even remember our life before she came along! She is sweet, funny, thoughtful, insightful, VERY active, shy, imaginative, and just plain wonderful. Some of her favorite things right now include... fake laughing as loud as she can, making us laugh, reading, playing outside, dogs, pretending to be a dog, chocolate milk, macoroni and cheese, and "Emma-M's!"

Her birthday was on a Saturday of MLK long weekend. Since some family that wanted to be apart of the celebrations could not be there on Sat. we decided to do a little get together on Monday. But of course we couldn't ignore or postpone her actual birthday. So Satuday, we made cupcakes, went to the park, had a picnic, and just enjoyed a lovely family day! There was a little misunderstanding between Chris and I with Brenna as our go-between so she ended up opening her gifts before breakfast! Oh well! She had a blast doing it and we had a blast watching as always!

After the park, we went on an "adventure drive" through the desert behind the park. She had another cupcake because she was to excited to go play to eat the first! Haha! The sugar high wore off pretty quick though as you will soon see!

Monday we had a little party with Chris's brother Steve and his adorable family and my brother Dustin. Most everyone else couldn't make it after all. We had a yummy lunch at the house, let the kids play a bit, had some yummy cake, and then ended up at the park where almost everyone (except Christy and me) played tag and tried to fly the adorable kite Brenna got for her birthday {thanks Steve, Christy, Jenna, Paige, and Dean!} It was a great day!

The cake I made for Brenna turned out so cute but the pictures really did not... oh well. I found the idea on this AWESOME blog, http://www.theidearoom.blogspot.com/. Brenna took one look at that and fell in love! She was so excited the entire day while I made it! She couldn't wait to try it! She is my personal assisant in the kitchen, but this event was almost too much excitement for one little body! =)

We had to keep reminding Dustin he was the adult playing with children... LOL!

At the end of the day, I was uploading pictures while Brenna was lying on the floor reading herself a story. I heard, "The..doggie....went.........." I look down and this is what I find... She looked like we all felt, haha!

Thanks for sharing in our day everyone! It was a great weekend! Happy Birthday Baby Girl!

I cannot believe she is already 3! It still feels like yesterday that you told me you were pregnant!

She is so cute I love her face after the "sugar high" wore off! And I love her wrapping paper so fun! I wish we could have come! But it looks like the party was great!

She seems so much older than Sophie. She is so mature for her age! What a cutie! I love the pictures you posted of her. Te cake you made is freakin' awesome!! And you thought you weren't crafty!! I couldn't have done something that cool. So, when are you moving up here? :)
